Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using our Telegram wallet alert bot.
How does wallet monitoring work?
Add the public wallet addresses you want to monitor. We monitor those addresses for activity and notify you via Telegram when something changes.
What chains are supported?
Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, and more. For the full list, check the bot on Telegram.
What types of alerts can I receive?
Our service offers a set of predefined alert types for each blockchain, such as incoming and outgoing transactions, token transfers, and approvals. Creating fully custom alerts or setting individual parameters is not supported. For a detailed overview of every alert category, see our wallet alert types page.
Can I enable or disable specific alerts?
Yes, you have full control over the alerts you receive for each monitored wallet. Simply type /alerts in the Telegram bot and select the wallet you wish to configure. You can enable or disable individual alert types, such as transaction, token transfer, or approval alerts, or turn all alerts on or off as needed. This granular control ensures you only receive notifications relevant to you.
Can I monitor multiple wallets?
Yes. You can add and monitor multiple wallet addresses across supported blockchains. The exact number depends on your access tier. To check your current wallet limits, use the /account command in the bot.
How quickly will I get alerts?
Shortly after your wallet has confirmed activity on the blockchain, usually within a few seconds. We wait for at least one confirmation so you only see real, settled transactions.
What happens if a wallet is very high activity?
If a wallet exceeds our activity limits, monitoring for that wallet may be temporarily suspended. While suspended, no new transactions will be processed and no alerts will be sent for that wallet. Suspended wallets automatically reactivate once the suspension ends.
Why are there limits on wallet monitoring?
Limits help keep the service fair and reliable for everyone. Some wallets generate a very large number of transactions and can consume disproportionate resources. Most personal wallets will not be affected by these limits.
What happens if my wallet is suspended?
If the wallet is already in your monitored wallets, it will automatically reactivate when the suspension ends. While suspended, no new transactions will be processed and no alerts will be sent for that wallet. If you try to add the wallet while it is suspended, you will need to wait until it becomes active again before monitoring it.
How will I know if my wallet is suspended or banned?
You will receive a clear Telegram notification if a wallet is suspended or banned, including the reason and what happens next.
How do activity limits work?
We use both short-term and daily activity limits to detect unusually high-volume wallets. Exceeding a short-term limit may trigger a temporary suspension, while exceeding a daily limit may result in a longer suspension. Repeated high activity can lead to a permanent ban.
How long does a wallet suspension last?
Suspensions usually last 1 hour for short-term activity limits or 24 hours for daily limits.
Can a wallet be removed or banned from monitoring?
Yes. If a wallet continues to exceed limits repeatedly, it may be permanently banned from monitoring and removed from your monitored wallets.
Is it safe to add my wallet address?
Yes. Only your public address is needed. We never ask for your private key or access to your funds.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. We only store the minimum data needed to provide alerts: your Telegram ID, the public wallet addresses you choose to monitor, and UTXOs for detecting new transactions. All sensitive data is encrypted at rest using strong, industry-standard encryption. We never collect email addresses, names, or any other personal details. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do you protect my privacy?
We never ask for your private keys or personal information. We only store the minimum data needed to deliver alerts, such as your public wallet addresses and temporary transaction data. All stored data is encrypted at rest to keep your information secure.
Is MyWalletAlerts secure?
Yes. Access is tied directly to your Telegram account. No passwords or emails are required, minimizing your exposure to common attack vectors. Only you (via Telegram) can manage your alerts. All payments are made exclusively in cryptocurrency and are processed through our own self-hosted BTCPay Server instance, ensuring your transactions remain private and never pass through third-party payment processors.
Do your Telegram alerts include transaction amounts or my full wallet address?
No. For your privacy, Telegram alerts never include transaction amounts or your full wallet address. Alerts only notify you of new activity and may provide a link to transaction details.
Do you ever display or send my full wallet address?
No. Wallet addresses are always truncated in all notifications and confirmations. We never send your full wallet address via Telegram, email, or any other channel.
What happens to the wallet address message I send to the bot?
For your privacy, when you submit a wallet address to monitor, we automatically delete your message containing the address as soon as it is processed. If, due to Telegram limitations, we are unable to delete your message automatically, we recommend deleting it manually.
How do I add or remove wallets?
Add or remove wallets easily using commands in the Telegram bot. Use /add to monitor a new address and /remove to stop monitoring an existing one.
How do I delete my account and data?
To permanently delete your account and all associated data, use the relevant command in the Telegram bot. This action is irreversible and will remove your data as described in our privacy policies.
What happens to my alerts when my paid period ends?
Your account returns to the free tier. You keep your account and wallet list, but only wallets within the free tier limit will keep receiving alerts. Extra wallets remain in your list, but alerts for them are paused until you upgrade again.
What access tiers are available?
We offer both free and paid access tiers. The only difference is how many wallets you can monitor at once. All users get access to the same supported blockchains and alert features. There are no feature restrictions. For current wallet limits, durations, and pricing details, please see our pricing page.
How do I pay for paid access?
In the Telegram bot, choose your access tier and access period. You'll receive a cryptocurrency payment link generated by our BTCPay Server. After your payment is confirmed on-chain, your access is updated automatically.
Can I extend paid access or buy more time?
Yes. You can extend your paid access at any time by following the payment process in the bot. Once your payment is confirmed, your paid access will be renewed or extended automatically.
What happens if I upgrade or downgrade while I still have paid time left?
If you switch access tiers while you still have paid time remaining, the value of your unused time will be automatically credited toward your new access tier. We calculate the remaining value and apply it as a discount so you only pay the difference. If your remaining credit exceeds the cost of the new access tier, you pay nothing and any surplus is automatically converted into additional paid time on your new tier.
What if I pay more or less than the listed price for an access tier?
If your payment is less than the listed price, you'll receive a shorter access period based on the amount paid. If you pay more than the listed price, any extra amount will be credited as additional time on your access tier. This ensures you always get the full value of your payment.
Are payments refundable?
All payments are final and non-refundable, except for verified technical errors (such as double payment or failure to activate your access tier). If you believe there's an issue, contact support within 7 days and provide your transaction details.
What happens if I pay to the wrong address?
Payments are only valid if made to the address provided in your official invoice. Contact support if you believe you made a mistake.
What if the payment system is down?
If our payment system is temporarily unavailable or slow, you'll be notified in the bot and can try again later. Occasionally, crypto payments may also take longer to confirm due to network congestion.
How do I get support or report an issue?
For assistance or to report an issue, please contact us via email at support@mywalletalerts.com. If you prefer to maintain confidentiality, you may encrypt your message using our public PGP key. Please note that support is not available through Telegram.
Can I temporarily pause alerts for a wallet?
To pause alerts for a wallet, you can either disable all alert types for that wallet or remove it from monitoring entirely. There is no dedicated "pause" function, but you have full control over which alerts are active at any time through the Telegram bot.
What happens if I lose access to my Telegram account?
If you lose access to your Telegram account, we cannot recover or transfer your monitored wallets or alert settings, as we do not store any personal identifiers and your Telegram ID is encrypted for privacy. Starting the bot from a new Telegram account will create a completely new, separate account. For your security and privacy, recovery is not possible.
Can I recover my data if I delete my account by mistake?
No, account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All associated data will be irreversibly removed as per our privacy policy.
Can I export my monitored wallet list?
For privacy and security reasons, exporting your monitored wallet list is not supported. You can view your wallets at any time in the Telegram bot.
